The Miraflores Parapuerto is the park where all the paragliding flights are made on the Costa Verde.
Miraflores Parapuerto is located in the Raimondi Park, next to the Love Park. The price of the flight is 260 soles, lasts minutes and includes the video. The hours of operation are from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
In the past, there were several places where you could take off from the Costa Verde in different districts. However, at present it is only possible from the Miraflores Parapuerto. There are many reasons why the Miraflores Parapuerto has been able to subsist and grow over the years. Below we explain the most outstanding:
Miraflores Parapuerto is the safest area to take off and land
Unlike other takeoffs, the Paraport has ample space to take off and land. It is also perfectly facing the wind, which prevents turbulence (called “rotors”). Because it is surrounded by a wall, the public is separated from the areas where the pilots take off and land. This gives safety to both pilots and passersby.
It is located in a very attractive and tourist area
The excellent location of the Paraport is undeniable. It is located on the coast of the Parque de Amor, a few blocks from the Larcomar Shopping Center. Also a few blocks from Kennedy Park. The Parapuerto is in the busiest area for passersby around the Miraflores boardwalk. It is easy to get to, since there are buses that pass 1 block away, and all the taxi drivers know it. It also has parking lots, not many, but there are. All this does, that it is unthinkable that the Parapuerto does not operate in this area, since also the sport of paragliding has become an iconic activity not only of Miraflores, but of the city of Lima.
The Parapuerto has all the permits and authorizations
The Parapuerto has authorization from the Municipality of Miraflores. It is certified as an air operator by the DGAC (General Directorate of Civil Aviation). It also has the quality certification issued by INACAL. To comply with the legislation on tour operators, a tourism agency was created. The managers of the Parapuerto advise and help the Mincetur to create rules and procedures for extreme and adventure sports in Peru.
